I’ve been teaching students around the world both in-person and over Zoom for more than a decade While online lessons are not the same as in-person, there are many advantages, and many students who live close-by actually prefer virtual lessons.
Lessons are available online and in-person at my Home Studio in S. Phoenix, AZ.
My students range from complete beginners struggling to sing “Happy Birthday” to seasoned professionals releasing their own albums, touring with bands, and appearing as performers on networks like Nickelodeon and MTV. I was honored to be a Quarter-Finalist for the Grammy-Award for Music Educator of the Year. Many of my students are Worship Leaders at their church, star in Musical Theater productions, and sing in Community Choirs as well. I help many students with the basics of songwriting to create their first original songs, and I help experienced professional singers unlock blocks in their technique and expand their skills.
Students vary in age and ability level, but are unified in their love of music, desire to improve, and commitment to a lifetime of active participation in music. From Children & Teens to Young Adults and Seniors, I’m comfortable teaching all ages and voice types.
My goal is for every student that works for me to achieve their dreams with music and performance, landing the roles they desire, nailing their auditions, becoming more passionate, expressive, and effective performers over time, and building a career in the arts if that’s the path they choose.
Professionally I have had a very successful career as a Singer, Conductor, and Vocal Coach. I have appeared as a Featured Soloist with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Performed with and Directed the Grammy-Award-Winning Phoenix Boys Choir, and have been featured on MTV and other major networks. I also have my Silver Play Button from YouTube.
My beautiful Wife Emily is also a professional Vocal Coach, in addition to being an incredible Stay-at-Home Mom and Home Educator. If you are more comfortable with a female coach, you can try a lesson with each of us and see if you’d like to work with her as well.
