As a top Acting Coach in Phoenix, Arizona, I’m often asked “Where do I look for auditions?”
There are some generic answers for websites that share auditions from all around the US (and around the world!) that you should definitely check out. Because Phoenix is a decent-sized market, there will be some opportunities for local gigs on these large casting websites, and you also may get opportunities for Remote gigs (filming from home), Voiceover gigs (audio-only), or even Travel Stipends (paid flights, hotels, and food to cover your costs for a non-local gig).
Bear in mind that out-of-state gigs may often ask you to act as a Local Hire, which means that you can still get the part if you’re out-of-state, but any travel costs (flights, hotel, food, etc.) come out of your pay for the gig. Local Hire gigs can be fun, beneficial, and lucrative, but they can also sometimes end up costing you more money than you earn from the production, especially when considering time off from work for the travel.
